2. A psychological thriller about what a young woman experiences after death

3. Opening Scene Surgeons bustle around a dark and gloomy hospital room as a heartbeat monitor flat lines and a young woman lies dead on the operating table. The woman opens her eyes and blinks (we see the room from her perspective) it’s a little girls room. There is creepy classical music quietly playing in the background. The woman’s eyes dart from the posters/photos/drawings on the wall to the children's toys sprawled on the floor and then finally to the little girl in the middle of the room. The little girl exclaims "There you are! Come and sit down at my tea party." Bewildered and speechless the woman hesitantly sits down and the miniature table whilst the little girl chats to her and pours her tea.. The mother enters to check on her daughter, clearly not being able to see the woman as she appears invisible to her. She walks out and is greeted by the father standing in the hallway. He asks her who the little girl was talking to, the mother replies with "Just her imaginary friend". There is a shot of the woman sitting at the table looking confused and scared and examining her hands, which seem to be slightly transparent. The text "the imaginary friend' comes up onto the screen.

5. Mise en Scene Camera Work When the woman opens her eyes in the little girl’s room I would add a hazy filter with a pink tint to give it an eerie feel and give idea feel of being in a dream. The little girl’s room would be decorated with drawings pinned up on the walls, an unsettling, pink doll house and an old fashioned miniature table and chairs I would use slow panning shots around the little girl’s room to, once again, give it an eerie feel. When in the hospital room I would use lots of short takes and hand held shots to create the idea of chaos and show the intensity.

7. Practical considerations I understand it would be difficult to find an actor for the little girl due to age, especially someone who is near and who would be willing to do several hours of filming. One idea I had for filming the little girl’s room was using a room back at house and transform that into a creepy, pink bedroom. I think Peaslake might have a room that’s not being used right now? If not then possibly mine? As well as this I think I need to streamline my opening scene as it might be too long and feel as though I’m trying to fit half a short film into an opening sequence
