  1. A Comprehensive guide on the type of Solar Panel The demand for renewable energy sources has led to an increasing demand in solar energy usage. Over the past few decades the number of solar industries has risen to almost 50%, after receiving strong support from the government on adapting solar energy sources and the other reason led to the commercial and industrial demand for clean energy. Apart from business needs most homeowners are changing their traditional mode of electricity usage into a new renewable source of energy, i.e solar energy. But before you start installation of solar panels, you need to consider a few major factors, such as cost, energy efficiency and aesthetics. But apart from all this consideration the first thing you need to consider is the type of solar panels Types of Solar panels: The solar panels are designed by looking at its usage, price and purpose. So it is majorly divided into three types: Monocrystalline, PERC, Thin-film and Polycrystalline. Monocrystalline: Monocrystalline solar panels are the most preferred solar panels. It can be installed easily on the rooftop. This monocrystalline solar panel is made up of 40 monocrystalline solar cells. As it is made of pure silicon, this installation of solar panels delivers greater efficiency. The monocrystalline solar panel has consistent coloration, and are designed in cylindrical shapes, that enable these solar cells to achieve higher efficiency. Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) Panel: PERC solar panel is the advanced model of monocrystalline cell. The cell's new technology adds a passivation layer to the rear surface that enhances efficiency in many ways.

  2. The light it reflects has greater wavelength that returns back to the cell by improving the amount of solar radiation and gets absorbed. The cell eliminates the natural tendency of electrons to recombine with the inhibit flow of electrons. Polycrystalline: Polycrystalline panels, otherwise known as “multi-crystalline panels” are popular among homeowners, as it comes within budget. The panels are built of silicon solar cells. The cooling process of polycrystalline cells is different and results in the formation of multiple fragments rather than a single silicon crystal. It is mostly used in residential homes consisting of 60 solar cells, which makes the manufacturing process much simpler. Thin-film Solar Panels: Thin-film panels are designed by very fine layers of silicons that are thin and flexible. Each panel doesn’t need a frame backing, which makes them lighter and easy to fit. It comes in various sizes to fit your specific requirements. These 4 types of panels, such as polycrystalline, monocrystalline, PERC and thin-film solar panels come with various features and advantages. The PV panel installation depends on the property and project goals. Homeowners that have enough space can utilize lower cost polycrystalline panels, whereas owners can install monocrystalline panels if you have limited room. Thin film panels are installed on a huge, commercial roof, as it can support the extra weight of standard solar equipment and PERC panels can be installed on a small space roof.
