  15. Thin Client (UDAIT) Rich Client (WQA) Query/Extract Provided mainly to allow users to quickly identify availability of data before downloading. Data is downloaded as text files. Data is immediately downloaded to the desktop for the selected area of interest. All queries are performed on the local database Analysis May require additional desktop analysis tools (e.g., ArcView, MS Excel) to perform more rigorous analysis not provided by the thin client (i.e., multiple tools) Customized and included in the rich client (i.e., single package) Technology JSP, Java MapObjects (Java Edition), XML Internet Connection Requires continuous access As needed Summary
