  4. £1bn University Challenge • Social enterprises struggle to become public sector suppliers • UK universities procurement budget c £7bn p.a. • Challenge = spend £1bn p.a. with social enterprises by 2015 • Universities take the lead, set the example, a route into public sector contracts • Social enterprise sector has incentive to grow • Investors have incentive to invest in social enterprises
