  3. Blessings for the righteous:32b, “He is intimate with the upright.”33b, “He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.”34b, “He gives grace to the afflicted.”35a, “The wise will inherit honor.”

  4. Vs. 33b, “He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.”

  5. “Blesses”, BARAK, בָּרַךְ, “Bless or praise abundantly.”The favorable relationship between God and man.

  6. “Dwelling”, NAWEH, נָוה,“Dwelling place of sheep.”

  7. Telling of our dependence and vulnerability, 1 Kings 22:17; Hos 4:16, therefore our need for a relationship with the Lord who provides everything for us. Cf. Prov 21:20; 24:15-16

  8. Job 8:6,“If you are pure and upright; surely now He would awake for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.”

  9. God provides the believer Logistical and greater grace blessings by means of His Grace Pipeline.

  10. God (R+) Love Righteousness Grace Pipeline Justice Love +R Believer

  11. James 4:6,“But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble”.”

  12. Verse 34b, “He gives grace to the afflicted.”

  13. “Grace”, CHEN, חֵן, Grace is all that God is free to do for mankind without compromising His Divine essence.

  14. Three main categories:1. Pre-salvation Grace, which includes all that God is free to do for the spiritually dead person: common and efficacious grace.

  15. 2. Salvation Grace, all that God has accomplished to save spiritually dead mankind.

  16. 3. Postsalvation grace, Divine provisions for the fulfillment of His plan, will, and purpose for our lives.

  17. All that God does for the believer totally apart from any human merit on the part of any Christian.

  18. Grace is not an emotion or an abstract quality, but is a principle of personal relationship.

  19. Grace is not held back, withdrawn or lessened because of failure or sin.

  20. God gives grace to the “afflicted”, ANAW, wn`u`,“the poor, afflicted, humble or meek.”

  21. The person who has learned humility through the application of God’s Word to the circumstances of life.

  22. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

  23. Our Lord:1. Has compassion on the afflicted, Isa 49:13.

  34. Prov 16:19-20, “It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud. 20He who gives attention to the word will find good, and happy is he who trusts in the LORD.”

  35. Vs. 35a, “The wise” is the believer who learns Bible doctrine and applies it to experience.

  36. Vs. 35a, “The wise” is the believer who learns Bible doctrine and applies it to experience. “Inherit honor” is the reward that comes from it.

  37. The wise take their permanent possession by their rights within God’s family, when they stand before The Lord Jesus Christ at His BEMA Seat, 1 Cor 3:10-15.

  38. At that time the wise will be awarded and take possession of their escrow blessings for all of eternity as a memorial of God’s Grace Plan for their lives. Cf. Rev 2-3.

  39. Grace Offering1 Cor 9:14, “So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel.”
