  24. European Council Update • European Platinum Speakers Programme: 12 new speakers and 39 new topics have been identified and will be integrated in the existing Platinum Speakers Programme

European Council Objectives 2006 -2007 • Consolidate the Chapter activities to increase market penetration and enlargement of the membership base in high potential markets through the development of a European Chapter Development Plan for the years 2007-2010 to include (but not restricted to) the following: • Investigate the possibility of staff decentralisation to further support the local chapter needs in terms of development • Customisation of marketing materials (including translations) to ensure local relevance • Analyse the local competition and identify the competitive advantage for each of the Chapters • Further articulate and strengthen the value proposition of the Chapters in their respective areas • Strengthen the chapters’ positions as distribution channels of the MPI products

Strategic Partnerships • European Partnership programme is being finalised with 10 European Partners: • Center Parcs Europe, EIBTM, Grimaldi Forum, IMEX, Le Méridien, MCI, RezidorSAS, Starwood, Toronto Unlimited, VisitLondon • Provide structural funding (€150,000 per year) to the European Operations • Presentations made at ACTE, UFI and WTO TSA Conference • Enormous interest in MPI MemberSolutions
