  1. OptiEdge ETH2x10GX Dual Port 10Gbp/s ( SFP ) MPLS Layer-2/3 Module Stand alone 19 inch by 1 RU high Dual Port 10Gig Base-X ( SFP ) Layer 2/3, MPLS* LER/LSR, QoS L2-L4, POE ( optional ) 40Gbps Switching Fabric, 128Mb Packet Buffer, 512K MAC address, 4096 VID’s, Q-in-Q Double Tagging AC and or DC with optional power supply Unit may be used in conjunction with the OptiCore 400 and or 800* as an optional module. Hardware Layer2/3 routing packet communications, of up to 40Gbp/s .The OptiEdge-ETH2x10GX supports Static and Dynamic routing, RIPv2, OSPFv2 and BGPv4. The deployment of TLS ( Transparent LAN Services ) is possible through the construction of L2 VPN over MPLS. The deployment of Layer -3 VPN over MPLS is possible using BGP RFC-2547. The OptiEdge-ETH2x10GX has 8 queues per port, with algorithms that allow prioritization of data flow permitting specific packets to have priority, ( set weights for each row, set minimum rates of routing, or a combination of these techniques). The classification can be made by using the IEEE 802.1 p standards. In band granularity of 64Kbit in definition of CIR (Committed Information Rate) and RIP (Peak Information Rate), can be applied to traffic to and from the ports, or a particular flow of packages through the filters. The construction of 4096 Virtual LANs are possible on the OptiEdge ETH2x10GX as defined in the IEEE 802.1Q standards while still offering functionality of double tagging (Q-in-Q), allowing for the creation of TLS services. It is possible to set VLANs via protocol, MAC address and IP subnet - with the possibility of overlapping ports in VLAN, and configuration using dynamic protocol GVRP. Spanning Tree protocol including RSTP that have lesser recovery times, and MSTP for better use of resources and greater scalability similar to that of EAPS, specifically for protection of sub-50ms in Ethernet rings. With features of link aggregation is possible to group physical ports forming logic gates, automatic load balancing and recovery times with typical of sub -200 ms. Making it possible to construct topologies with speed in the restoration of failures of Metro Ethernet applications.
