  1. Welcome to Art! Mrs. Moore

  2. Welcome! Sorry I can’t be here; I am out helping with open house. Please have a look around. This presentation will let you know what your students will be learning this year. I am a recent graduate of MTSU with a B.S. in art education. This is my first teaching job, I look forward to spending it with the Eakin community!

  3. Curriculum Each grade will have a different theme (shown on next slides) but during those lessons, students will be making connections to their other classes and learning problem solving and motor skills.

  4. Themes 1st Grade will focus on the Elements & Principles of Art (check out the posters on the wall between the windows).

  5. Themes 2nd Grade will learn about art from diverse cultures. We’ll learn about a place, its people, and the art they make.

  6. Themes 3rd Grade will learn about artists from history and contemporary artists. We will make art using their styles & techniques.

  7. Themes 4th Grade will learn about different art styles & make art with the characteristics of those styles.

  8. Themes 5th Grade will make art with different techniques, such as perspective and facial proportions.
