Welcome to OVID DATABASES: Global Health • Derived from over 3500 journals, plus reports, books and conferences, Global Health contains over 1.2 million scientific records from 1973 to the present. Over 90,000 records added each year, and over 95 percent of these records include an abstract. Publications from over 158 countries in 50 languages are abstracted, and all relevant non-English language papers are translated to give access to research not available through any other database

  3. To access, go to http://www.usuniversity.edu/index.html • 1. From home page scroll down the page and look for Library, under STUDENT SERVICES. • 2. Select US University Online full text databases • 3. At the bottom of the page you will find the OVID databases: AMED Allied and Complementary Medicine & GLOBAL HEALTH

  9. OVID ID & PASSWORD? Obtain user code from Librarian and fill in ID and Password per her instructions. You will then be prompted to select a database from the same screen. Select GLOBAL HEALTH

  10. 5. After logging in with user ID and password, this screen will appear. Click on Global Health

  11. Enter your research topic here:

  12. Look at the right side of the screen for important information regarding this article.

  13. Before purchasing any articles, check our full text databases to see if they are contained within one of them and read the abstract to be sure the article will be useful in your research.

  14. The subject headings list what searches could be entered to obtain this article. In other words, what is the main topics of the article.From the subject heading options, select for example all the articles on Ethics

  15. If your topic is too broad, you will receive a large number of articles. I suggest you try to narrow down the topic.

  16. If you find a helpful article that is on the topic you are researching, consider clicking on find similar.
