  4. AS ART 1 year Unendorsed Art course – WJEC 1 unit of coursework 1 unit of exam work 9 hours of lessons per fortnight Emphasis on experimentation with materials and ideas Pupils encouraged to develop own interests and strengths

  14. AS Art Textiles Endorsed Textiles course - WJEC • 1 unit of coursework • 1 unit of exam work • 9 hours of lessons per fortnight • Emphasis on experimentation with materials, designs and making. • Pupils encouraged to develop own interests and strengths

  15. What does the course include? Textile Techniques such as: Fabric painting Drawing Gutta Batik Trapping, layering, Burning Embroidery, Applique, Quilting, Dying Embellishment Fashion Design Garment construction Accessories – shoes, hats, ,bags. Textiles – hangings.

  17. Garment Construction: layering, machine embroidery, Image transfer.

  27. AS Art Applied course 1 year course – Edexcel 5 units of coursework 1 exam unit. 18 hours of lessons per fortnight Emphasis on real projects/design briefs Pupils encouraged to develop own interests and strengths.

  28. B-TEC • 1 Year course suitable for pupils who enjoy art but didn’t get 5 A-C GCSEs • Equivalent to 4 GCSEs • A range of interesting projects • Full time course alongside the Welsh Bac.
