  4. Learn as Much as you can During Class Time - Ask questions in class - Listen to other students questions - discuss your questions with classmates and the teacher NEXT PREVIOUS

  5. Attend All Classes - Go to every class - If you do miss a class • Get a good copy of the notes and any handouts • Do the reading assignment and make a serious attempt at the homework NEXT PREVIOUS

  6. Attend More Than One Section of the Course - Ask your teacher if you could sit in on one of their other math class ( most teachers will allow you to do this ) NEXT PREVIOUS

  7. Sit in the Front of the Classroom - Sit close to the instructor - Make sure you can see and hear - Choose a sit in the front center of the room NEXT PREVIOUS

  8. Organize your Notebook - Use one large spiral notebook devoted exclusively for math - Keep your homework and class work in two separate sections - Write the date at the top of each days note’s - Write clearly for easy review of your note’s NEXT PREVIOUS

  9. Take Complete Class Notes - Copy all notes written on the board - Write down the teachers explanation - Make sure your notes are well written so you can easily follow them outside of class NEXT PREVIOUS

  10. Ask Questions About Notes - If you feel “lost” , ask your teacher to explain what you don’t understand - When you cannot see the overall goal of what the teacher is doing ask a question NEXT PREVIOUS

  11. Use an Audiocassette Recorder - Use an audiocassette recorder help master your class notes • never use to substitute for taking class notes NEXT PREVIOUS

  12. Work Effectively in a Cooperative Learning Class - Work in groups - Solve problems with other classmates - Meet with classmates outside of class PREVIOUS
