    2. Alabama Power started the wellness program for a myriad of reasons, it is the right thing to do…if you want to positively impact your employee workforce in the long run. The cost of health insurance is rising, as are the concerns revolving around absenteeism and presenteeism. Promoting healthy living and helping employees and their families establish healthy lifestyles not only impacts our company “tomorrow” but it also impacts the tomorrow of our communities and future generations. Just as the business makes decisions to train leaders for future roles in the company, it is important to educate employees on their health and encourage them to change lifestyle behaviors that WILL GREATLY IMPACT your medical plan in the long run as well.
