  15. Our school logo • There are 900 students in the secondary school from Year 7 to Year 11. This is compulsory for students aged 11-16 to attend. • There are 100 students in our Sixth Form (also called Post-16). This is optional for students aged 16-18 to attend. • After compulsory or optional education, students can: • Get employment in a job e.g. retail worker • Get training e.g. to become an electrician or plumber • Get education at College or University

  16. Our school specialism • We are a specialist school. In the UK, schools can apply to become specialist schools. We are a Business & Enterprise specialist school. • As a Business & Enterprise school, we offer special courses in ICT and Business. • We are also a Microsoft Academy and we train adults in computer hardware and software. The students also have an opportunity to get training in Microsoft Windows and Office

  17. Our school uniform • We have a different uniform for our students in Year 7-9 and Year 10/11.

The Curriculum • Students study from age 11-14 (Year 7-9) • Core: English, Mathematics, Science and ICT. • Foundation: History, Geography, Religious Education and Citizenship, Technology, Art & Design, Physical Education, Modern foreign Languages, Drama, Music, Business studies and ICT. • Students study from age 14-16 (Year 10 & 11) • Compulsory: English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Physical Education, Religious Education and Citizenship. • They may then choose to study 2/3 other Subjects. • History, Geography, Technology, Art, French, Spanish, Child Care, Health & Social Care, Business Studies, Performing Arts, Leisure & Tourism, Hairdressing & Beauty, Construction, and Catering.
