What We Do (2) • IAW UABMT Syllabus • ACS Admin and Employment Standards • IWC SIM – 35 events* (220 hours) • Long-Range Cutoffs – Mass Briefs • Long-Range Sterns – Mass Briefs • Simulated Aerial Refuelings – Mass Briefs • Simulated Tactical Intercepts – Mass Step Brief / Individual execution briefs • Link-16 Fighter Control Procedures – Mass Step Brief / Individual execution briefs • Mass Briefs enable standardization of close control procedures • Individual briefs prepare students for live missions • *Seven CONFAM events instructed by DOA

Challenges • Scheduling • ABM class overlap: need creative scheduling solutions: academics / live / SIM • Lack of instructors: due to TDY, LV, PME, and live mission requirements • 5 of 10 DOB/DOC ABM instructors live qualified • 12 instructors required for each IWC SIM day • Guest instructors required • Continuation Training / New SIM Development • New SIM requires additional events for all qualified IWC instructors • Some instructors not live qualified / cannot bring that perspective to student training • Cannot afford active duty instructors to come of schedule • SIM briefing rooms not cleared for classified (Bldg 1270)

  9. Challenges (2) • Grade Books are analog • Awaiting GTIMS Upgrade with Student Gradesheets • Awaiting Funding • AF IMT 4293, AETC Form 902 Entries, and Student AETC Form 186
