  3. liberty(n): freedom, not restricted by rules I am not at liberty to say why I was tied up. However, it is great to have my liberty again.

  4. boisterous(adj): noisy, energetic, full of energy The VCAL students are always so boisterous when the end of day bell goes!

  5. reprimand(v): disapprove, The VCAL students got a reprimand for not doing their blogs on their websites!

  6. Reluctant(adj): unwilling, hesitant The VCAL students are reluctant to hand in homework. They will be reprimanded with a detention if they do not! The young girl was reluctant to open her mouth at the dentist.

  7. Scold(v): reprimand with anger • Ms Dewhurst scolded the students for being late to class.

  8. Paraphernalia(n): articles or equipment needed for a particular activity The woman had all the paraphernalia for sewing like a women in the early 1950s.
