  3. What is Data-Driven Decision Making? • Data is factual information used as a basis for calculation, discussion or reasoning. • DDDM is the use of data to make decisions about: • Policies, • Programs, • And individual Student Achievement.

  4. DDDM in education refers to teachers, principals, and other administrators thoroughly collecting and analyzing various types of data, including demographic, achievement, process and perception data, to guide a range of decisions and help improve the success of students and schools.   8. Data Types Demographic Data: Background information on students, staff, and schools. Such as gender, ethnicity, number of years in the district, attendance, teacher certification and school enrollment. Perception Data: Individual views, values and beliefs about systems where people work and learn. May be gathered through questionnaires, interviews and observations. Achievement Data: Student results on state assessments, district tests and teacher-development tests. Process/Program Data: Information about the curriculum, interventions the students experienced, the teachers students were taught by and so on.
