  1. KM3NeTDAPNIA activity for the WP2L. Moscoso, DAPNIA, CEA/Saclay & APC – Paris VII

  2. Our status • Contacts with astrophysicists DAPNIA astrophysicists mainly involved in HESS, GLAST and source modelling. They are ready to work with us with the help of a Post-Doc. • Improvement on our administration engagement. Our lab has increased the initial engagement • Study on the Galactic plane We will benefit of the knowledge of our colleagues astronomers to study the potentialities to detect HE neutrinos from the Galactic plane

  3. Manpower • 2 Post-Doc for 2 year each • Starting in September 2006 • 36 months funded by FP6 funds • 12 months funded by DAPNIA • 1 Post-Doc APC for 2 years • Sharing his time between WP2 and WP4 • 1 PhD thesis ? October 2007? • Manpower increase for permanent staff and Post-doc • Due to the implication of astronomers • Total: ≈100 FTEM • Starting in a progressive way this first year • Now  September 2006: 1.2 FTEM • Oct. 06  Jan. 07: 10 FTEM

  4. Our points of interest • Concentrate to the Galactic Plane • Neutrino Flux modelling • Definition of the benchmark • Event selection and reconstruction • Study of sensitivity for different detector options
