AIMS

The AIMS test assesses student progress and influences high school placement and graduation readiness. Your 8th-grade scores directly affect your high school classes. To graduate, you must pass reading, writing, science, and math in 10th grade. High scores may lead to scholarships and incentives! Familiarize yourself with the AIMS categories: Exceeds, Meets, Approaches, and Falls Far Below. Use practice questions to explore how scores relate to these categories and the points needed to advance or decline. Always consult your advisor with questions.

  1. AIMS This test is to ensure student progress but what does it all mean?!?!

SHOULD KNOW . . . • Your 8th grade scores directly influence your classes going into high school • You must pass reading, writing, science and math your 10th grade year to graduate • If you exceed on AIMS in high school, you are eligible for scholarships and other incentives!  • When in doubt, talk to your advisor!!!
