Kantara has proved that it is worth staying in the theatres for long period and it is totally worth off. The movie is produced by the Kannada production house Hombale films, the movie is distributed by Geetha Arts. After watching the Kannada version of the movie, Bunny felt that the movie would work in Telugu as well. So, he made Allu Aravind agree to distribute this in Telugu also. However, Geetha Arts did not buy the movie distribution rights. So, the company agreed to release it in Telugu on a commission basis.
