Placement Scheme • Graduate/undergraduates/IT related degree • 6 - 12 weeks in summer June- September • Tasks undertaken can include:- • Web sites / e-commerce • Databases • Networking • Software development

IT Club for Business • Forum of companies with an interest in IT or computing • Opportunities for networking • Exchange ideas • Develop links with Academia • Membership 300+ companies • Membership is free • Member benefits include discounts and searchable database of other members
IT Club Special Interest Groups • Bring together expertise from academia and business. • Focus on:- E-commerce, Digital Media, Marketing, IT for the Micro business, Entrepreneurship, Training • Disseminate that expertise to companies via workshops, seminars, master classes as part of CPD programme

ICT Forum • First held in November 2000 • Currently organising ICT Forum 2002 • 4th – 23rd November • ICT in Schools – Animate Wales • ICT in Higher and Further Education • ICT in the Community • ICT in Business • Partners include: • WAG, BT, Elwa, IOD, CBI, WDA, SIHE, WWCC, Microsoft, NPTC
State of the Art Technologies the ICT Industry in Wales • Advanced Technology Transfer from the Department of Computer Science, UWS • Free consultancy for project design • Free access to state of the art equipment • Free development of prototypes by undergraduate and postgraduate project students
How have we helped the regional economy? • Organised 280 placements since 1993 • Increased the number of students staying in Wales after graduation • IT Club 300+ members events put on monthly - 40 to 50 attending each event • Launched an IT Magazine • Encouraged entrepreneurship in ICT companies
