  1. Programming • Why do we program? Because we are looking to build community. We use it as a tool to bring people together to interact in meaningful ways.

  2. Program Requirements • Residence Life student staff must complete a minimum of six programs each semester • Programs must be linked to the Guiding Principles: Academic Support, Personal Growth, Healthy Lifestyles, and Social Responsibility. • One of the two programs for Social Responsibility for the academic year must focus on diversity.

  3. Program Requirements • All student staff must contribute to one traditional program in their area. This program may count towards the six-program minimum. • A traditional program is usually executed as a staff and is repeated each year. Some examples of traditional programs are; MASA’s Halloween carnival, RHA’s ResLife week, Peer Mentor’s shindig, and South’s speak easy.

  4. Program Requirements • All student staff must plan and implement a recurring program for their specific community. This program may count towards the six-program minimum at Pro-Staff’s discretion. • A recurring program is one that is repeated multiple times in a semester. Some examples of a recurring program are; sundaes on Sundays, workout Wednesdays, monthly study nights, etc.

  5. Program Requirements A program approval form must be submitted to your ProStaff through email one week before any program. A program report must be written for each program within 48 hours of the program.
