  5. Backpack Too small Perfect size backpack, everything must fit into the backpack including the lunch and snack bag, planner, waterbottle, duo tangs and any work that is sent home.

  6. Lunch bags • Part of our eating routine includes the children unpacking and packing up their snack and lunch belongings. Please provide a lunch bag with a zipper that children can carry from their backpacks to their desk, as to make it easier for them to not carry several items in their hands. The lunch bag should be able to fit morning snack, lunch, towel placemat and chinese school snack if necessary.

  7. Towel The small hand towel is used as a placemat when students are eating. Please remember to wash this frequently as students will be taught to use their own small towel to wipe up any mess.

  8. Black running shoes • Black running shoes are needed for INDOOR use. They are worn in the classroom everyday and for gym class. These shoes stay at school. Your child will come to school in OUTDOOR shoes and wear these at recess.

  9. Gym Days • Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are GYM days. Your child must come to school wearing their gym shorts, gym shirt, sweatshirt and sweatpants.

  10. All Garbage and food scraps will be sent home Please send food in Tupperware/containers as it is better for the environment.

  11. Label, Label, Label Label everything clearly with child’s name and grade. Check your child’s clothing regularly to confirm that it is their clothing and not a friends. If your child stays for Chinese School provide a snack in a small ziplock bag as it will go outside with them. Containers often get lost or left out on the big playground. Please remember that school begins at 8:45 promptly and concludes at 3:30, except Wednesday which is 2:30 dismissal.

  12. Birthdays Celebrated once a month. Usually on the last Wednesday or Friday of the month.
