  3. Margins • You need to have one inch margins, top, bottom, left and right, most likely they are set, but to double check you can always click on Page Layout, Margins and set your margins to 1”. 1” 1” 1” 1”

  4. Header Header: To place a Header in the right corner of the paper, first click on Insert and Page Number. Then click on Top of Page and Plain Number 3. Next, click in the box, type your Last Name and hit the space bar once. Finally, click on the Close Header and Footer button.

  5. Heading & Title • Heading: The Heading should always be on the top left corner of the paper and should contain your first and last name, Instructor’s name, Course and Section, and the date at the end. • Title, needs to be centered you can do that by putting the cursor beside the title and clicking the center align button on the Home tab. Title is not underlined nor bold. Heading

  6. Indent half an inch: Each paragraph needs to be indented, all you have to do is place the cursor at the beginning of the paragraph and hit the button on the keyboard. That will indent your paragraph properly. (Indentation) Indentation Tab

  7. Double Spacing • Double Spacing: • In order to double space your essay you need to select everything.Once you have everything selected click on Line Spacing and select Double (2.0) from the choice list.
