  11. Learning to Play the Bagpipe 1) Practice Chanter -teaches reed use and fingering of chanter 2) Practice “Goose” -adds bagpipe minus drones 3) Bagpipe -chanter, bagpipe, and drone

  12. Importance of Preparation • Proper use of Reed • Correct Fingerings • TUNING!!! Very difficult because a bagpipe is not set at the same pitch as a concert instrument.
