DCIE Upgrade Process • All SANmelody 3.0/SANsymphony 7.0 DCIE‘s need to renew • DCIE status remains for SANsymphony 7.0 & SANmelody 3.0 • Attend SANsymphony-V(SSV) Differences Webinar • Take and Pass the SSV DCIE Test • All Customer Information up to date • SANsymphony-V DCIE for Installs is awarded • New SSV DCIE Install Certificate is issued • SANsymphony-V DCIE can carry out new Installations • Complete all above before the end of December 2011 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Attend and Pass Upgrade Class • SANsympony-V DCIE for Upgrades awarded • NO SSV DCIE Upgrade Certificate is issued • SANsymphony-V DCIE can carry out upgrades

  4. DCIE Upgrade ProcessStep 2 • Familiarise with New release • Request new NFR License Keys from orders@datacore.com or from Partner Portal • Download new Release from Support FAQ 1419 • Install in Labs • Carry out full Functional Test Plan for all options • Raise incidents to ask any questions

DCIE Upgrade ProcessStep 3 • Take SANsymphony-V R8 test • Request New DCIE test • Send email with ‘DCIE Test Request’ as Subject to support@datacore.com • Take new test • Open Book test with answers available from Web site, Online-Help, Differences Webinar, Lab installation • 40 Questions with 80% pass mark required • Allow 3 attempts at Test • Test to be taken within 12 months of release date • Test can be taken before Upgrade Class • After passing the test authorised to install SSV

  6. DCIE Upgrade ProcessStep 4 • Post Test Action • Pass: • Test passed • Customer Information incidents up to date • Fail: • Repeat DCIE process from Begining • Update all Customer Information incidents

DCIE Upgrade ProcessStep 5 • Existing Customers Information correct • Ensure ALL your current customers installations have documentation on our support database. • This should have ‘Customer Name- Customer Information’ as the title, and hold the configuration details • Edit Incident Titles that do not follow this format • Update ‘Customer Information’ incidents • Update the existing documents with any major changes to the configuration

  8. DCIE Upgrade ProcessStep 6 • SANsymphony-V DCIE certification for installations • You are now a SANsymphony-V DCIE • Your status will be updated on your support details • A certificate will be issued for SSV DCIE Install • You can now install new SANsymphony-V implementations

SANsymphony-V DCIE for UpgradesStep 7 • Raise Purchase Order for SANsymphony-V Upgrade Training • Attend and Pass the 1-day Remote Training • Pre-Requisites are • SANsymphony-V DCIE • Attended SANsymphony-V Differences Webinar • SANsymphony-V DCIE for Upgrades • Your status will be updated on your support details • A certificate will NOT be issued for SSV DCIE Upgrade • You can now Upgrade from SANmelody 3.0/SANsymphony 7.0 to SANsymphony-V

DCIE Upgrade Process Summary • Attend Upgrade Class • 1 day classroom training • Upgrade class covers • Planning for an Upgrade • Upgrade from SANmelody 3.0 to SANsymphony-V 8.x or • Upgrade from SANsymphony 7.0 to SANsymphony-V 8.x • Hands-On Modules • Certified to Upgrade to SSV from SANmelody or SANsymphony
