  2. WHAT IS PATENT SERVICES AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR? Patent Services are used when one wishes to get an industrial property right which is an exclusive right granted by a State for the legal protection of an invention. Patents provide exclusive rights that will allow the owner/inventor to use and exploit his invention and prevent third parties from using it without his consent.

  3. What is an invention? It is defined as any new solution to a technical problem. Therefore, a patent offers a new way of doing something, or a new technical solution to a problem that had no solution or had a different one which can be a difficult choice. Thus, the owner of the patent (the inventor) can prevent others from making, using, offering for sale, or importing the patented invention without his permission, and can sue anyone who exploits the patented invention without authorization.

  5. If you choose not to exploit the patent, you can sell it or assign it to another company to market it under license rights (without losing the title to you). When the patent expires, the protection ends and the invention enters the public domain. That is, the invention can be exploited commercially without infringing patent rights.

  6. WHAT INVENTIONS CAN BE PATENTED? Patents can be granted on inventions from any sector of industry and technology through a patent agent. An invention can be a product (such as a medicine, vaccine, tool, etc.) or a process (for example, a process to produce a specific chemical compound) or an idea.

  7. Many products comprise several inventions. For example, an engine may be made up of several inventions, all of which are patented by the same or different owners. The exclusive right of patents is an incentive to the extent that it offers the inventor recognition for his creative activity and material compensation for his commercial invention.
