  2. Le 11 novembre 1918, un armistice est signé entre les Alliés et l'Allemagne. Les combats de la Première Guerre mondiale Le 11-novembre- une des grandes dates de la vie commémorative française. Cette journée de mémoire est observée dans toute l'Europe et dans les pays du Commonwealth. Aux Etats-Unis, sa commémoration a été étendue à tous les vétérans de guerre.
