  3. BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST Faith That Jesus Is The Christ Not Just An “Option!” John 8:24 “die in your sins” John 14:6 “no one comes to the Father except through Me”

  4. BELIEVE AND CONFESS Romans 10:9,10 Confession- a verbal acknowledgement that something is true John 12:42 Acts 8:36,37 1 Timothy 6:12,13

  5. REPENT & BE BAPTIZED Acts 2:37,38 “repent, be baptized…for the remission of sins” Acts 3:19 “times of refreshing” Mark 1:14,15 “repent & believe the gospel” Mark 16:16 “believes & is baptized will be saved”

  6. BE BAPTIZED Acts 22:10,16 “be baptized, & wash away your sins” Galatians 3:27 “baptized into Christ” Romans 6:3 “baptized into His death” 1 Corinthians 12:13 “all baptized into one body” Colossians 2:12 “buried…in baptism”

  7. WHICH IS TO BE ACCEPTED?

  8. Belief the only thing required for salvation? Acts 16:30,31 • IF this means salvation is ONLY on the basis of FAITH we would have to conclude: • People on Pentecost saved by repentance & baptism ONLY – without belief or confession! Acts 2:38 • Saul was saved by baptism ONLY – without belief, confession, or repentance! Acts 22:16

  11. None of us Will Enjoy the Forgiveness of Sins & the Hope of Heaven Short of Obedience • The gift will not be given until the conditions are fulfilled! • Hebrews 5:8,9 • Must have Faith in Christ in order to be Saved • Must be strong enough to cause one to obey- Matthew 7:21; Luke 6:46

  12. HAVE YOU OBEYED THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST? • 2 Thessalonians 1:8 NKJV 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
