He was affected by the Quran so much he became Muslim that day. • Another event is when the prophet Muhammad was judging two men. He went in favor with the other man. The man that did not get what he wants went to Omar Ibn Khattab. He asked if the prophet Muhammad can change his decision. Then Omar Ibn Khattab took out his sword killed the man • Another event is when Omar Ibn Khattab became the caliph. It started on a chilly day when Abu Bakr was taking a bath and he became really sick. Before he was a bout to die he brought a bunch of important companions to find the next caliph. They all voted for Omar Ibn Khattab but some of them thought he can get a little over tempered but still voted. • Another event is when Omar Ibn Khattab died. While he was praying at the masgid an-nabawi in Persia. A Persian slave came and stabbed Omar Ibn Khattab. He stayed alive for the next two days. But then he died and Uthman became the new caliph.

Abu bakr was one of the prophet cherished friends and companion. • Ali ibn Abi Talib was the fourth caliph. He was born at Mecca where his father, Abu Talib, was an uncle of the Prophet. Ali himself was adopted by Mohammad and educated under his care. • Abu Talib was the uncle of the prophet (s). He was a non believer but was very good to the Muslims. 5. Inventions

  6. Past vs. Present • Many inventions Al-Jazari has created still affect our modern day world. An example of that would be the engines he invented. • Abbas Ibn Firnas was the inventor of the glider. His invention helped create airplanes, helicopters, parachutes, etc.

  7. Lessons Learned Now by watching this PowerPoint one could have learned two lessons: • Being a bold and smart role model in Islam is important, but staying close and aware with Allah (SWT) is even more important. • Americans, Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans aren’t the only people who have invented things.
