SDO Updates • IHE: Produced a restful interface similar to XDR, XDM, and XDS but adds OAuth authentication • IHE standards included in the DS4P IG: XDM, XDR, XDS, XCA, XUA, and BPPC • The IHE proposal for User/Device Authorization for HTTP (RESTful) use is moving along nicely • HL7 Security WG:  Submitted Notice of Intent for Comment Ballot of Health Care Classification System – ballot reconciliation for next week • Overview of the Health Care Classification System proposed • DS4P on HL7 WGM calendar to provide an update on the work & piloting efforts since the last Joint Session with CBCC – targeted Monday Q3 • Additionally an intention to ballot the HL7 Security & Privacy ontology in May • HL7 CBCC WG: DSTU for CDA R2 Consent Directives targeted for Normative Ballot in May 2013 • OASIS: Submitted proposal for a Health Care Obligation Profile to OASIS XACML to accommodate the transmission of consent policies between organizations • Privacy by Design group to be monitored upcoming • ISO: Security WG will revisit Access Control & Consent Management in April

IGs & Balloting Consideration Current IG Status • The IG reached consensus last August • Current Version 1.03 of Reference Implementation Guide posted on the wiki • Pending feedback from pilots, making the content more ready for real-world implementers IG Next Steps • The IG contains three distinct transport components, which allow the consensus-approved content to be parsed into three “sibling IGs,“ all with different statuses: • The Direct Project – ready for ballot • eHealth Exchange – ready for ballot • REST – still under development with IHE • Pilot feedback to be incorporated when finalized Questions for Discussion (to be captured on next slide) • Determine next steps for long-term maintenance and validation of industry-driven content • Which standards organizations would be interested in taking ownership of the IGs? • How are updates to base standards or change requests typically handled for balloted profiles? • Should we keep all three sibling IGs together?
