New Legislation – Proposal 2010-108 • For non-revenue generating championships that seed a quarter of the bracket, sites will be awarded to the seeded teams who submit a bid that meets the requirements for hosting. • In the event that a seeded team does not submit a bid that meets the requirements, the sports committee will maintain the current policy of geographic consideration when assigning those host sites. The committees will use the geographic considerations to help maintain the balance and integrity of the bracket. The committees will also separate first and second round conference opponents.
Facility Requirements to host • Minimum Seating capacity of 2,000; • Availability of the facility for practice and competition; • In-floor net system is mandatory; • Separate locker rooms of comparable quality for each participating team; • Hotels of comparable quality and proximity to the facility: • Institutions may use an off-campus arena, providing that the facility is within 30 miles of the main campus and prior approval has been obtained by the committee.

Officiating • With the 2011-12 season the NCAA has implemented a Volleyball Officiating Program and a National Coordinator. • For preliminary competition there are the following officiating needs: • Four referees • Four line judges • Evaluators • This is in addition to the scorer’s table needs that are part of the budgeted
Selection Sunday • The Selection Show will be Sunday November 27 at 6 pm ET. • Sites will receive notification via email post show. • There will be a conference call with Tournament managers and site representatives to review pertinent hosting information.
