  2. Silicone oil

  3. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. What is silicone oil A silicone oil is any liquid polymerized siloxane with organic side chains. The most important member is polydimethylsiloxane. These polymers are of commercial interest because of their relatively high thermal stability and their lubricating properties

  4. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Properties of silicone oil Heat Resistance:- Silicone fluid is extremely stable against thermal oxidation. Can with stand temperatures up From 150°C to 250°C

  5. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Low-Temperature Resistance Silicone fluid has excellent low-temperature resistance From  -50°C up to -65°C.

  6. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Viscosity Stability Silicone fluid shows little change in viscosity due to changes in temperature

  7. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Thermal Conductivity The thermal conductivity of silicone fluid is lower than that of common organic compounds.

  8. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Specific Heat The specific heat of silicone fluid varies somewhat depending on viscosity

  9. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Chemical Stability Silicone fluid is nearly chemically inert and is virtually unaffected by 10% alkaline aqueous solutions or 30% acid.

  10. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Corrosivity and Effects on Other Materials Silicone fluid has no adverse effect on metals , nor on most other substances

  11. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Surface Tension The surface tension of silicone fluid is much lower than that of water or common synthetic oils. Silicone fluids spread easily over the surfaces of various substances, and are thus widely used as release agents, defoamers, and ingredients for cosmetics.

  12. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Releasability and Nonadhesiveness The application of silicone fluid to mold surfaces prevents the adhesion of other materials, thereby enhancing mold releasability

  13. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Defoaming properties Added in small amounts, silicone fluid has excellent defoaming action. Silicone fluid is primarily used as a defoamer for oil-based foaming fluids.

  14. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Water Repellency Silicone fluid also has excellent water repellency An excellent and durable water-repellent coating can be obtained on glass, ceramic

  15. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Physiological Effects Generally speaking, silicone fluid is physiologically inert and poses almost no risk to people or animals.

  16. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Electrical Properties Excellent Electrical properties.

  17. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Resistance to Shear Stress Silicone fluid has extremely high shear resistance, and it resists shear degradation at high speeds and high loads, meaning it has a long operating life.

  18. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Compressibility Unlike mineral oil, silicone fluid exhibits extremely high compressibility and does not coagulate when pressurized.

  19. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Solubility Silicone fluid is highly soluble in hydrocarbon solvents such as toluene, xylene, ligroin, and mineral spirits as well as in chlorinated hydrocarbons.

  20. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Lubricity silicone fluid does provide good lubrication for steel-bronze, steel-aluminum, steel-zinc, and wood-wood interfaces and for various combinations of plastics.

  21. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Radiation Resistance silicone fluid is widely used in the high-temperature parts of radiological equipment

  22. Alstone Industries Pvt. Ltd. Uses of silicone oil Used in the manufacturing of silicone sealant . Homecare products, such as furniture polish,Detergents, toiletries, insecticides, fragrances, and others.  Ideal for use as instrument oil in airplanes, automobiles, and trains . Silicone oil is applied in leather treatment, surface treatment for building materials, and coatings for roofs, masonry, additives for paints, inks and protective coatings, and so on. lubricants , textile , rubber, automobile , pharma , paint Mold releasing agent
