  2. Seuss's Childhood • He always loved to draw, in fact he drew on his bedroom walls. • He was born on March2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. • He grew up with a mother, father and a sister • Unfortunately, his sister died at18 months old of pneumonia.

  3. Accomplishments • Seuss is a famous writer. • He went to Dartmouth college. • He has written over 41 books • He made a movie The Lorax, which is based on one of his books. • He sold over 200million copies

  4. Challenges • He had to deal with his sister dieing at 18 months old. [tragic] • Getting his books turned down so many times by the press and publishing committees. However, he never gave up and kept on trying. • Getting his career started.

  5. Seuss Questions • Why is Seuss Famous? • Answer. He is famous because he’s made many excellent children’s books. For example, The Cat In the Hat, The Lorax and last but not least The Foot Book and many more. • What are two individual challenges Seuss had to deal with? • Answer. Dr Seuss had to handle his sister dieing at 18 months old. He also had to deal with getting turned down by publishing companies a lot. • What personality traits enabled this person to person to realize personal goals and dreams? • Answer. Dr.Seuss always never gave up. • What do you admire or dislike about this person? • Answer. I admire Dr.Seuss for his artistic talents and great personality.

  6. The END Dr.Seuss died in September 24 1901 Seuss died on September 24, 1991 Although Seuss’s death is sad, his books sold over 200 million copies and his books inspire both children and adults all over the world.
