  10. Before the iPads Come Home Students have learned about how and how not to treat the iPad. Students will take part in a classroom-wide digital citizenship project in the coming weeks. Parents are encouraged to create a contract your with child about appropriate use of the device at home.

  11. What to include in the Contract Decide which rooms are appropriate for the iPad to be in and which are off limits Decide on a place to store and charge the iPad overnight that is not in the student’s bedroom. Make sure there is a “no iPad behind closed doors” policy.

  12. When the iPads Come Home Review the Contract with your child Have your child show you the apps they use, and give you a brief tour of it’s capabilities and how it’s used in the classroom and how it will be used at home. Have your child take you through their logins for each app they use. Follow along with the login document to record unique logins that are not captured in the login document.
