  1. 5 WAYS TO INDULGE IN SELF-CARE Are you procrastinating over self-care or do you forget taking care of yourself? We are pretty sure 90% of us have a yes to that and why not, our busy lives don’t really leave us with much of time and energy to inculcate any other activity in our entire day but, guess what? If you aren’t investing in self-care there won’t be much time until you’ve become victimized and undergo mental imbalance that won’t leave much of energy for you to focus on or to take care of anything or anyone anymore. While achievements, career and goals may seem like the only aim of life but, it all starts with the act of self-care. The decisions and choices we make has a lot to do

  2. with how we treat ourselves hence, it becomes extremely important to take good care of your body, mind and soul on an everyday basis. Indulging in regular physical exercises, healthy eating habits, a therapy or a full body massage, reading a book etc are primary activities but make huge difference in one’s life. No wonder self-care isn’t easy to get a grasp over, busy schedules, stressful jobs and too much of consumed technology doesn’t leave much of time and ends up leaving self-care on the last of agenda list. So, for starters getting started with self-care can be challenging but isn’t impossible. Here are 5 Ways to kick start your journey of SELF-CARE- 1. Take Up A Physical Activity- Exercise is something every other person suggests when it comes to physical well- being our parents, doctors, friends and every other well- wisher has a say when it comes to exercises. So, we are well known with the benefits of physical exercises and yet are not on it. Well, that’s maybe because we don’t really know how good physical exercises are for us. Daily exercise is a cure-all remedy for both physical and mental well-being. It boosts your mood, not to mention helps you shed those extra inches but most importantly it helps release endorphins in the brain which helps vanquish anxiety and stress. There’s no question to the fact that going to the gym everyday may not be a possibility but the idea is to indulge in any form of physical activity that helps your body sweat and heart racing. The idea is to create a routine of exercises that contributes in your well-being. 2. Read A Book-

  3. Reading a book is an incredible hobby it takes care of your mind, body and soul as a whole. Other than making you witty there are many other benefits that reading a book happily allows us to embrace. According to a study reading book is one of those hobbies that promise the reduction of stress and anxiety at most and reduces the chances of developing diseases. While physical exercises strengthens the heart, body and muscles intellectual hobby like reading books helps in brain strengthening. When we talk about self-care what better than attracting a positive source like a book to entertain and dig deep into and the best part is you can read whatever you want as long as the content is engaging! 3. Swap Your Junk With A Healthy Snack- What we consume/eat has the power to keep us healthy and fit or to contribute in weight gains and diseases as hazardous as Diabetes. The potential benefits of healthy eating are not just restricted to a great skin and body but also our minds. Eating healthy food prevents various brain related diseases such as memory loss and inflammation which impacts both the brain and body. One of the basic ways to bring a positive difference into your not so healthy eating habit is swapping your evening snack with a healthy meal. Sprouts, peanuts, a mix of dry-fruits, yogurt are some examples you could consider for your junk-swap . 4. Take Up A Massage Therapy- Be it your grandmother or mother every generation is well known with the factor of Massage Therapy and suggests it whenever it comes to being relaxed, to treat a pain or even for general well-being.

While, anxiety, stress and pain may impact anyone’s overall health negatively, studies and researches have proved Massage Therapy as a panacea when it comes to dealing with such problems. Quit A Bad Habit- As mentioned before self-care is challenging and the biggest challenge is to overcome something you’ve been addicted to all your life but that is what self- care is about eliminating bad habits that interrupt and prevent you from accomplishing your goals. The first step to eliminating a bad habit is to recognize the cause of it, boredom and stress happen to be one of the major causes. From overspending money, indulging in alcohol, smoking or overuse of internet is a response to stress and boredom, the idea is to find a healthy substitute for your boredom and replace it with a healthy choice. You might not ace on your first day but it doesn’t mean you can’t have it right. Let your time, effort and perseverance do the talking while you try to quit a bad habit.
