MICHEL PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND RELEVANT UPSTREAM EXPERIENCES • Currently Technical Director for E&C Capital, BNPPARIBAS Private Equity group dedicated to Energy investments. • Joined BNP Paribas in April 2010. Bank Technical Expert in Structured Finance for Central Europe /FSU. • Extensive upstream oil & gas experience working in different geological basins (North Sea, Africa, Middle East and FSU). • Extensive operational experience with posting in Russia, Norway UAE, Qatar, Iran, Yemen, Nigeria, Gabon. • Previously worked at TOTAL and ADDAX Petroleum during 10 years. • Seconded to Total Norway to manage portfolio and develop business. • Started gas and condensate wells in Iran for Total South Pars Phases 2&3 (2 bcfpd). Planned development of Qatargas 2, South Pars phase 11 and implemented a reservoir management strategy for Qatargas 1. • Seconded to ADMA-OPCO to develop major fields offshore Abu Dhabi and enhance Umm Shaif production. • Optimised production, reserves and well completions of the Okwori-Nda fields (OML-126) and planned gas injection. • Managed reservoir studies of the Antan field (OML-123). • Development Coordinator for Addax operated fields onshore Gabon (Tsiengui, Obangue – 27’000 bopd). • Advised for New Ventures opportunities in Africa / Middle East Director, Senior Petroleum Engineer 13 years of experience Based in Geneva, Switzerland ACADEMIC BACKGROUND RELEVANT BANKING EXPERIENCES • Master Of Science in Petroleum Economics and Management from the IFP School and the Moscow University of Oil and Gas (2000). • Mater Of Science in Engineering from the Paris School Of Mines, Paris(1999) • Technical Bank Engineer for OrdabassyMunaiGas (Kaz), South Oil (Kaz.) GEA (Aze.), HHE (Hungary), TAP (Turkey), Equus (Kaz.), Yeniey (Rus.), Amromco (Roumania), FX energy (Poland), Turgai Pet. (Kaz.). • PE Investments realised in US (Bakken) and Russia. • Managed Technical due diligence of recent major projects in FSU (SNGP, BP Azerbaijan, Lukoil Overseas Uzbekistan). • Screened more than 50 upstream oil & gas financing opportunities in Central Europe /FSU and more than 100 projects eligible to PE.
