  2. List of projects implemented by the AMC Informing, Proper Orientation, Integration and Providing Legal Assistance to Migrants. Project co-funded by the AMC and UNHCR is under current implementation. “Establishment of the Centre for informing, orientation and integration of migrants”Implementation of project funded by the NGOs State Support Council under the President’s Administration started on April 31, 2009 and was completed in 4 months.

  3. “Fight against human trafficking: training, professional and long-term legal assitance, awareness raising”. Implementation of project funded by the US Department of State started on June 26, 2008 and will be continued till June 2010 • “Establishment of the Centre in Ganja city for informing, orientation and providing legal assistance to victims of human trafficking” Implementation of project by ILO started on 28 April 2009 and completed on 15 June 2009. • “Legal assistance to trafficked/exploited persons in Azerbaijan” Implementation of project funded by ODIHR started 01 July 2009 and will be continued till July 2010 • “Together against human trafficking” Implementation of project funded by Norwegian Embassy in Azerbaijan started 09 July 2009 and completed till 08 July 2010

Why we consider, that they are victims of human trafficking?Because • Their passports were taken by employer; • Employer did not obtain individual permission for labor activities in Azerbaijan for them; • Norms prohibited by law were defined by employer; • It was announcement restricted their freedom to movement; • Employer used to punish them and even to deport them from the country.

  7. AMC keeps questionnaires filled out by more than 400 persons where serious shortcomings with meal, access to health care and housing are indicated. These facts are also confirmed by observations and pictures made, evidences collected by employees of our organization.

  8. Our organization gave information about criminal cases for their involvement in the forced labor and trafficking in persons to state authorities. Azerbaijan Migration Center applied with complaint to court regarding illegal decision of the Prosecutor and now our complaint is in appeal instance.
