  3. The Story The film joyeux noel is based on true stories of war world 1, this film took place on the western front in Christmas. The film was based around six men, On Christmas night, it all began when the scots began to sing Christmas songs and then sprink responds by singing for him german comrades and exits his trench with a small Christmas tree and leaves it in the middle of no man land. The French, german and scotish officers meet and agree on a treaty and wish each other marry Christmas, played cards and football. The male men where told to read the letters to see if anything was going on. I was not here for the film

  4. Les poilus Barbus et moustachus, les conditions de vie des soldats de la première guerre mondiale ne leurs permettaient pas de se raser, ni d’être propres.

  5. Les poilus En 1914, après un mois de guerre, les armées françaises et allemandes combattent depuis des tranchées : de longs fossés creusés entre les trous causés par les obus.

  6. Les poilus La vie quotidienne est très difficile, les soldats subissent le froid, le bruit des tirs, l’humidité. Ils souffrent aussi de la faim et sont attaqués par des rats.

  7. Les poilus Pour s’en protéger, ils construisent des lits spéciaux. Les poilus sont également remplis de poux qu’ils appellent des totos. Beaucoup de soldats sont malades, ils sont atteints de tuberculose : une maladie très contagieuse due à un microbe dangereux.

  8. Les poilus Un grand nombre de poilus meurent dans ces tranchées. La première guerre mondiale se termine le 11 novembre 1918. Plus de 8 millions de soldats sont tués et parmi eux près d’un million et demi de français.
