  1. Businesses should Implement Best Cloud Infrastructure Management Practices to Stay Ahead Cloud infrastructure is referred to the software, servers, network devices, and storage devices and it is not much different from the normal data center infrastructure with the only exception that it is virtualized and consumed over the internet. Cloud infrastructure is divided into three categories known as computing, networking, and storage. The setup, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of the cloud infrastructure components is known as cloud infrastructure management that is carried out through a web-based interface. With traditional data centers around, companies were not accustomed to the latest challenges of managing cloud infrastructure. When new infrastructure is launched in the cloud, costs are incurred irrespective of whether it is used or not. Today companies of all sizes are turning to cloud providers instead of investing in costly hardware and engage in managing and maintaining data centers in-house. Cloud providers provide them flexible cloud infrastructure to provide modernized computing, networking, and storage resources. Businesses opt for cloud infrastructure management to obtain scalability and to consolidate IT resources. The best thing about cloud infrastructure is that the same infrastructure can be shared by two users without compromising each other’s data that in the long run lowers the operating costs. Cloud infrastructure management is the tools and processes required to effectively allocate and deliver key resources when and where they are required. A tool like UI or dashboard acts as a control panel for provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure and cloud infrastructure management is vital in delivering cloud services to both internal and external users.

  2. Cloud infrastructure management is vital for achieving the overall benefit of cloud computing. The properly managed and optimized cloud provides businesses greater flexibility and scalability for their applications and infrastructure and also keeps the costs under control. Since organizations and end-users use vital resources via the cloud and pay for these resources only when they are used, so they save the cost of buying and maintaining the physical infrastructure. Cloud computing costs increase unnecessarily without apt visibility, monitoring, and governance. This could be understood with a scenario in which an engineer leaves a cloud development environment up and running 24/7 despite requiring it only for a

  3. few hours of work. This kind of waste can result in runaway cloud bills in a pay-as-you-go model. Cloud infrastructure management is gaining significance with cloud strategies continuing to evolve into multi-cloud and hybrid cloud models. The distributed infrastructure models create operational complexity that is challenging for businesses to manually manage. In the distributed infrastructure approaches, businesses should allocate and manage resources from a single shared pool but across multiple heterogeneous environments. With effective cloud infrastructure management, even smaller teams can deliver web-scale services.
