Shelter Campaign Key Facts: • Bad Landlords give Good Landlords a bad reputation • Accreditation is an excellent way of showing tenants that their landlord is a professional & meets good standards. • They are a flexible & cost effective tool to improve standards and address particular problems in the PRS. • Many local authorities with schemes have seen improved standards & issues resolved earlier with lower costs to authorities. • Including credible minimum standards ensures confidence for LA and tenants.
