  2. EAPN Strategic Plan Goal that the workshop contributes to Goal n. 1 Objective 1.1 EAPN will work to ensure that the Europe 2020 strategy, the Platform against Poverty and the Social Inclusion strategy (Social OMC) delivers progress to effectively mainstream social concerns and to reduce poverty and inequality.

The workshop aims at addressing this topic in order to acquire a more detailed and shared view on what we think and we want to achieve in this respect.

  5. ECI proposal onUnconditional basic income by 15 Citizens Committees 1/4 Universal, individual, unconditional basic income to ensure a life in dignity and participation in society.

  6. UBI universal 2/4 In principle every person, irrespective of age, descent, place of residence, profession etc. will be entitled to receive this allocation.

  7. UBI unconditional 3/4 Basic income as a human right which shall not depend on any preconditions, whether an obligation to take paid employment, to be involved in community service, or to behave according to traditional gender roles.

  8. UBI individual 4/4 Will be independent of their circumstances: of marital status, cohabitation or household configuration, or of the income or property of other household or family members. This is the only way to ensure privacy and to prevent control over individuals. It enables individuals to make their own choices.
