  4. NIMS FY08 Overview Total FY08 objectives = 25 for local jurisdictions 4 new objectives for FY08 Funding must support NIMS Use existing resources to coordinate NIMS training Perform audits or reviews Initiate credentialing process

Resource Management Plan Tier 1 = 120 Nationally defined resources This inventory is being gathered into a database Maintenance will be available online EMAC Tier 2 = any typing done intrastate Typing needs to be taking place between entities with mutual aid agreements Statewide typing definitions will be developed in the coming years *Resource typing is the categorization and description of response resources that are commonly exchanged in disasters through mutual aid agreements.

  7. Credentialing • Develop a statewide credentialing process • EMAC • Organize a credentialing committee • Develop policies • Utilize already existing credentialing bodies • BHS does not want to be a credentialing agency • Statewide badge

  9. NIMS FY09 Overview • Many of the objectives are already completed or in progress • ICS-400 • Elected Officials training • WebEOC will be integrated to manage resources during an incident

  10. Conclusions Deadlines to know and remember! • Resource typing (120) to BHS: September 1, 2008 • County NIMSCAST roll up: September 1, 2008 • FY08 Compliance: September 30, 2008 Keep promoting NIMS to nongovernmental organizations and private sector Keep training in ICS
