  1. Gas Engineer Salary – £35,000 - £38,000 Gas Engineer Reporting to Gas supervision team you will carry out service, repair and maintenance of all gas systems as required by company contracts, ensuring all work is carried out to an appropriate standard. Duties/Responsibilities: To inspect premises and communal areas as directed to ensure compliance of Gas regulations, diagnose faults and carry out or recommend remedial actions, carry out replacement and installation works as directed. Report to the Gas supervision team as appropriate on the progress of works and any problems encountered. Ensure that any breaches of safety and RIDDOR incidents are reported immediately. Attend site meetings to assist in resolving design/technical issues. Inspect and certify completed works as required. Liaise with tenants, leaseholders and Client representatives over works to be carried out. Provide accurate reports of works undertaken on a regular basis. Utilise hand held technology, as well as electronic documentation including but not limited to CP12’s etc. Take part in a Call out rota in relation to the department. Be committed to flexible working and undertake works, as may be required on Saturdays and other times, to ensure service delivery and improve customer services. Keep abreast of developments in Gas Service practice including changes to standards and legislation, to ensure that the services provided conform to industry best practice and legislative requirements. Ensure compliance with general company policy, financial regulations and departmental policies and processes. Adopt the principles of quality assurance systems to enhance service provision through a reduction in errors and reworking. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company procedures in all areas of work and contribute to a proactive, safe and healthy working environment. Encourage a culture of continuous learning, attend appropriate training courses and participate in the training of others. Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post. Gas Safe element qualifications should include: ACS, Water Heaters, Boiler, Cookers, Analysers, Fires, Pipework.
