  3. 02 System Overview Part The system is a flash-based training solution that provide a flexible way to occupational therapy students in distance learning, training on the elderly home safety support.

  5. 04 System Design Part • Design Concept for the system - Theory test and observe virtual room quiz • Three Major part of the system: • Student Session – Practice • Student Session – self test • Interface for the configuration (question & scenario setup)

Part Semester 1: A sample prototype has been created (25th May) with: Quiz function Virtual room - 1st attempt is using series of background images to represent each room with different items randomly generated. External XML configuration files and quiz question files has been created. Feedback from client: Client was happy that I am getting the right idea. However she was not satisfy with simple image-based room creation – want something looks more realistic.

  9. 07 Second Iteration Release Part • During the semester break: • Found new solution by using existing open source 3D engine to create the virtual room. (Papervision3D engine) • Rewrite the quiz part into Actionscript 3.0 class • Redesign the main UI • A release has been made to Client. • - Theory test quiz completed with timing, feedback, question shuffle, etc. • - A 3D virtual room environment have been setup and able to “walked” (First vision) around by using mouse & directional key on the keyboard.
