  1. Creating Quiz in MOODLE

  2. Step 1: Create Question Bank • Create Question Bank • Click Question Bank on Settings

  3. Step 2: Adding the Question • In Question bank page • Click Create a new question button • For now, just leave other options as it is.

  4. Step 3: Saving and Configure the type of Question. • In Choose a question type to add box • Select what type of question you want to add • Example: Multiple Choice

  5. Step 3.A 1) Write the question name. You can indicate the quiz number and the question number . For example: Q1MC1 2) Write the question. You can format it as you like for example make the font bold or changing the font color. 3) Default Mark is 1 6) Check Shuffle the choices. 4) Just leave this blank. 5) Select if Multiple or one answer only. For this example, I choose One answer only. 7) Just choose the default option. You may change if you want.

Step 3.B 8) Write the possible answers in the choices. 9) Grade will be none if it is not the correct answer. 10) Leave the feedback blank. 11) Select 100% if it is the correct answer and One correct answer only. If multiple answers, divide the percentage for example if there are two correct answers then 50% for each correct answer. If there are 3 correct answers then 33% for each correct answer. If 4, then 25% each correct answer.

  7. Step 3.C 12) Just leave this area blank. Leave it as it is. 13) Set this option to 0%. Meaning there will be no penalty for wrong answers. 14) Just leave this area as it is. There’s no need to change.

  8. Step 3.D 15) Leave this area as it is. There’s no need to change. 16) Click Save to save the question that have just created.

  9. Step 4: Adding Activity Quiz 1) Select which week or topic that you want to add the activity quiz. Then on that week or topic, click add an activity or resource.

  10. Step 4.A 2) Select Quiz 3) Click Add

  11. Step 4.B 4) Write the Name of the Quiz. 5) Write the Quiz Description. You may indicate here the coverage of the quiz. 6) Check to display the description on the course page. 7) To enable the date and time of the quiz. Here you have to be specific. 8) Here you choose how you want your student to submit their quiz. If you want to be more strict, then select this option, that they have to submit the quiz before the time expires. Choose the other option if you want the system to automatically submit once the time expires and the answers will be counted. 9) Leave this option disabled.

  12. Step 4.C 10) Grade Category is Uncategorized, Attempts allowed should be 1. Grade Method should be left disabled. 11) Layout of the question: if you want one question per screen then choose this option, otherwise choose the other option, indicating the no. of questions per screen. 12) Select Yes to shuffle within the question. And leave the How questions behave option as Deferred Feedback as default. 13) Uncheck other options except Marks option. Make sure Marks option are checked. Meaning after the attempt, only marks will be shown on the screen.

  13. Step 4.D 14) No - Show the user’s picture option, 2 - Decimal places in Grades, you can change if you want. Decimal Places in question grades option- you can leave this option as it is. 15) Leave these options blank.

  14. Step 4.E 16) Leave these options as it is. 17) Click Save and Display, to edit the quiz.

  15. Step 5.A: Editing The Quiz 1) Click Edit Quiz.

  16. Step 5.B 2) Make sure question bank is unhide. From the question bank. Select the question that you want to add to the quiz. Then Click Add to Quiz. 3) The question already added. If you want to edit the question again, just click the question. Indicate 1 in Mark out of, after changes just click save. If you want to delete the question, just click the x button. Maximum Grade- indicate 5 if maximum grade is 5. Then click Save.

  17. Step 6: Preview the Quiz 1) Click Preview on Settings

  18. Step 6 2) Click Next Button to preview all the questions. If you want to change the question click Edit question.
