What is ICSI Training and How is it beneficial for the candidates? Know about us: IIRRH Institute is an initiative to impart a range of skill sets in setting up together with running an IVF in addition to ART bank to any candidate byways of intensive hands-on training modules. Founded by renowned clinician, researcher and academician, Padma Shri Dr. Kamini Rao, in 1999, IIRRH has trained thousands of Clinicians and Embryologists over 22 years spread across the globe and continues its journey. This training centre in Bangalore has designed several courses in its training schedule to suit the learning needs of the candidates. The short-term training program, which generally spans between 6 to 18 days, consists of the following modules:
•Basic Infertility Course •Advanced ART Course for Clinicians •Advanced ART Course for Embryologists •Short Term Course on Micromanipulation or ICSI •Andrology Course for ML Technicians •Observership in Infertility In addition to these short-term courses, a 2-day weekend refresher course is also envisioned to impart in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in respective fields. What is ICSI Training? The 10-day Course on Micromanipulation or the popularly known ICSI course in IIRRH is conducted four times throughout the year, starting from March. This course aims to impart the best practices of ICSI to achieve higher insemination rates. Let us have a look at what this unique module from IIRRH covers: •Micromanipulation in ART an overview •Narasighe micromanipulation workstation •Research instrument (RI) micromanipulation workstation •Eppendorf micromanipulation workshop •Instrument selections •Preparation of gametes for micromanipulation •Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) •Embryo biopsy •A brief account on micro tool manufacture Objectives of this course: The objective of this course is to provide a strong guide to the fundamentals of the ICSI technique along with ideas as to how to troubleshoot the most commonly
encountered complications. Besides, trainees will also learn about the theory and practice of intracytoplasmic sperm injection. Additionally, they would also be trained on quality control and management in ICSI. Registered candidates will be provided with study material and lab protocols. They will undergo theoretical and practical training in all aspects of human- assisted conception. How is it beneficial for the candidates? We’ve received a great response and positive feedback from the candidates who recently completed their Course on Micromanipulation, which was conducted successfully from 22nd March until 31st March 2021.
Mentors will be assisting the trainees round the clock for Hands-on laboratory training sessions together with Interactive discussion, teaching sessions, live lectures and multimedia presentations. With the completion of this course, mentees will imbibe enough working skills for starting their ART practice as well as help in research-oriented activities. Candidates will be issued a ‘Certificate of Training’ on successful completion of this course and proper assessment by the mentor.
