  1. Conejo Valley USD High School Summer School 2011 at Thousand Oaks High School Grades 9-12 June 20-July 28 (First session – June 20 – July 8) (Second session – July 11 – July 28) Mondays - Thursdays Principal – Steve Lepire Assistant Principal – Lou Lichtl

Registration process • Students that needed to repeat a class were registered by their school counselor during the Spring (these classes are not subject to tuition) • Students that wanted “Go-ahead” classes registered online from April 11th through April 25th. • Walk in registration for get ahead Health classes took place on April 30th at TOHS. • Walk in registration for all get ahead classes took place on May 14th at TOHS • ALL “Go ahead” classes were tuition-based classes sponsored by the Conejo Schools Foundation

Tuition-based Classes • CSF and parent volunteers worked together with district personnel to complete the Saturday “Go ahead” registration process • $500 for U.S. History and World History at TOHS and Online (2 semester course). Health at TOHS and Online were $250 (1 semester course) • Heath at TOHS: 144 Students • Health Online: 242 Students • World History at TOHS: 24 Students • World History Online: 39 Students • U.S. History at TOHS: 29 Students • U.S. History Online: 50 Students • English 12: 14 Students

  4. Summer Enrollment Data 985 First Session/908 Second Session total students enrolled Courses offered: English 9-12 S/CP; ELD; Health (Online and on campus); PE 10-12 Algebra 1A, 1B &1CP,GeometryCP; Algebra 2CP Biology S/CP; Geosciences S/CP US History S/CP; World History/Geography S/CP

  5. Online Class Information • Online Health class curriculum run through UCCP and Moodle at the Ventura County Office of Education and taught by Scott Veres, Lyndee Leavitt, Scott Farrell • 242 students took Health Online this summer • Grade distribution: A (150), B (66), C (18), D (0), F (3) • G.P.A = 3.51 • Online U.S. History class curriculum run through UCCP and Moodle at the Ventura County Office of Education and taught by Gary Grayson • 50 students took U.S. History Online this summer • Grade Distribution Term 1/Term 2: A (37/32), B (11/13), C (2/4), D (0), F(1/1) • G.P.A. = 3.56

  6. Online Class Information • Online World History class curriculum run through APEX online and taught by Owen Ryan • 39 students took Online World History this summer • Grade Distribution Term 1/Term 2: A (14/26), B(21/8), • C (3/3), D (1/2), F (0/0) • G.P.A = 3.35
