    2. TetsukoKuroyanagi TetsukoKuroyanagi is the author of Totto-Chan. She is born in August 09, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan. She is an famous actress in Japan, a talk show host, and best-selling author of children books. She found Totto foundation, named for the eponymous and autobiographical protagonist of her book Totto-Chan

When Totto-Chan was published • 1997 when Totto-Chan book was been published, which based on her experience working as a UNICEF goodwill Ambassador from 1984 to 1996, Kuroyanagi is a director of the Japanese branch of the World Wildlife Fund. Kuroyanagi has twice bought America’s National Theater of Deaf to Japan, acting with them in sign language.

    4. Totto-Chan • In 2000, Kuroyanagi became the first recipient of the Global Leadership for Children Award, which was established by UNICEF in the 10th Anniversary of the 1990 World Summit for Children. In May 2003, Kuroyanagireceived Order of the Sacred Treasure in recognition of her two decade of service for the world’s children.
