  2. Understanding EtherChannels • EtherChannels consist of individual links bundled into a single logical link. • Provides fault tolerant high speed links between switches, routers, and servers. • Can provide full duplex bandwidth up to 800 Mbps.

  3. Understanding EtherChannels • EtherChannels can consist of up to eight interfaces.

  4. Understanding EtherChannels • You must manually assign an interface to an etherchannel using the channel-group command. • Each etherchannel has a logical port channel interface numbered from 1-6.

  5. PAgP • Port Aggregation Protocol • Dynamically groups similarly configured interfaces into a single logical link

  6. PAgP • PAgP has three modes: on, auto, and desirable. • Network devices are either PAgP physical learners or aggregate learners.
