  2. What is Dermatographia? Dermatographia means “skin writing.” A condition where light scratching causes red, raised lines on the skin. It is a form of physical urticaria (hives). Usually harmless, non-contagious, and temporary.

  3. Causes and Triggers Exact cause unknown in most cases Common triggers include: Skin pressure (scratching, rubbing) Stress or anxiety Infections (e.g., viral) Allergic reactions Certain medications (like penicillin)
